Nourishing Your Body as an Act of Worship

Celebrating Women’s Health!

May is Women’s Health Month — sisters, this is a perfect time to (further) honor God by caring for our bodies, minds, and spirits. Scripture reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, worthy of care and respect .

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;  you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”(1 Corinthians 6:19–20).

Nutrition isn’t about restriction or perfection — it’s about nourishing your body as an act of discipline, worship, and stewardship. When you care for your body intentionally, you celebrate the gift of life God has given you.

Proper nutrition helps women:

  • Maintain energy for work, ministry, and family

  • Support hormonal balance and immune health

  • Improve mental clarity and emotional resilience

  • Strengthen the body for movement and fitness

Healthy eating is a spiritual and physical act of stewardship — honoring God by caring for His creation: your body.

Practical Ways to Nourish Your Body

1. Eat to support energy – Choose whole foods that give sustained energy for your day and movement sessions. The simpler the ingredients, the better.

2. Practice gratitude for your meals – Take a moment to thank God for provision and nourishment.

3. Listen to your body – Eat when hungry, rest when tired, and choose foods that feel life-giving.

4. Include community – Sharing healthy meals or tips with other women strengthens encouragement and accountability..

Nourishment plus movement during Women’s Health Month encourages:

    • Physical strength and endurance

    • Mental clarity and emotional balance

    • Consistent, joyful movement

    • Connection to the Lord and gratitude
